1) Game Designer:
If you have a basic concept of a game I can help you out by making sure we add some game play elements that help games be more fun and engaging.
- Types of Tasks
- a) Create a complete Game Design document that can be used by an entire team of artists and developers as a tool to make sure everyone is on the same page. The document will include characters, weapons, maps, levels, rules, controls and point systems.
- b) Determine the UI elements that help the players get important information without interrupting their experience.
- c) Define reward systems, this is very important when thinking about how to motivate the players to keep playing the game.
2) Game Prototype:
Prototyping is a great way to reduce production costs and to help determine quickly how much fun an idea can really be. I can help you by creating a very fast prototype for a low cost.
- Types of Tasks
- a) Prototyping a game play mechanic.
- b) Testing a control setup, like gyroscopes, mouse or keyboard.
- c) Testing rules to be able to clearly test if the game can be flawed and taken advantage of.
- d) Testing reward systems to see if they are motivating enough for the player.
- e) Balancing characters to make sure no character is too powerful.
3) Game Programming
If you already have the design of the game, and even some prototype working then I can help you out by working as a programmer to deliver your idea on devices like Tablets, Phones, Web and PC.
4) Game Director
The most important, valuable and fun aspect of game development is teamwork. I love working with artists, sound designers and programmers. I respect each of those skills as a unique and very important talent. I have had the fortune of working with many talented individuals and I have the skills needed to keep communication going and keeping up schedules and milestones. If you are looking for an individual to lead a team of developers I can also help you with that.
